NEWS FROM THE RED POST: A NEW VICAR
It was with great pleasure that we were able at the end of March to make the following announcement in the churches of the Red Post Benefice
‘The Patron, Richard Drax, and the Bishop of Sherborne are delighted to announce the appointment of the Revd Jane Williams as Vicar of the Redpost Benefice. Jane is currently Rector of the Bride Valley, in West Dorset, she served her curacy in Wareham, and prior to training for ordination she had a career in the Health Service. Jane brings much experience to the post including developing leadership, schools work and outreach. She has a heart for rural ministry and looks forward to moving to Sturminster Marshall with her husband Nigel sometime in the summer. Jane’s Institution, induction and installation as Vicar will take place at 7pm on 7th September. The Patron and Bishop wish to thank all those managing the vacancy and who were involved in the appointment process.’
We much look forward to welcoming Jane and Nigel in late summer but are immensely grateful to the retired priests the Reverends Belinda Marfitt, John Graves, Nigel Feaver and Hugh Maddox who have and are so willingly giving us so much help, encouragement and support during our time of vacancy.
